ALAN’S CONFESSION ABOUT SUNSETS

Sunsets.
Where magical colors appear on the horizon. Bright and burnt orange mixed together, coupled with yellow and bluish of the sky. One of my favorite times of the day.

I grew up along the seacoast of Maine. Instead of sunsets, sunrises and lighthouses became the target of my lenses whenever I have the chance to take pictures.
Now that I’m living in Back Bay, Boston, I always jog along the Esplanade after work to view the sunsets. Often, Jesse would tag along with me.

Lawyering is tough. Battles in courthouses make losing not an option and I can’t let my guard down. But I seek the colors of sunsets to unwind. It brings out the soft side in me. I don’t like to talk about my feelings, but for this, I’m willing to share.

I reluctantly have to admit I find sunsets kind of romantic.
